This 18th-century Tibetan thangka depicts the Goddess Kurukulla, a wrathful emanation of Amitabha associated with magnetizing and enchanting, rendered in vivid reds and golds against a dark ground. Kurukulla is among the most visually dramatic deities in the Tibetan Buddhist pantheon.
